Hello Incoming Kindergarten Red Hawk Families!

We are so excited to have you join us for the 2026-2027 school year. Please see the details below on how to prepare for our registration and enrollment dates!

Kindergarten Registration will begin January 14. On January 14, our office will be open from 12:30-3:30 for registration. This open enrollment time is ONLY for kindergarten registration. To be able to register your kindergarten student, you must have the following completed and brought with you:

1. You must complete the online enrollment application- https://www.chino.k12.ca.us/new-student-enrollment
   If your student attended school in the district for TK, you will still need to complete the online enrollment form.
2. Please ensure that the school you are assigned to is Hidden Trails. If it is not, you will not be able to register your student at our school, and will need to register at your home school. Here is the Chino Valley USD boundary school site locator-https://www.schoolsitelocator.com/apps/chino/
3. Please print out the enrollment form, as this must be brought with you on the day of registration.
4. Bring the following additional documents:
   a. Proof of age
   b. Proof of residency
   c. Immunization records

5. If you do not come on the date of January 14, you will need to schedule an appointment with our office to come in and register your student. Please call our office at 909-597-0288 and we will schedule one with you.

If your student is in grades 1-6 and your home school is Hidden Trails, our registration date will begin January 21. Please see the following information:

3. Call our office at 909-597-0288 and we will schedule a date and time for you to come in. We will not schedule a time for you to come in unless you have completed the online enrollment application to completion.

We are so grateful that you wish to join our school as a Hidden Trails Red Hawk! Please see the details below regarding Transfer Information:

If you are not within our boundaries but wish to apply for a transfer, please understand that there is no guarantee that we will be able to take your student. You may apply here for a transfer- https://www.chino.k12.ca.us/179652_3

Transfers are approved based on available space in the grade level assigned, and on your lottery placement number.

We will be calling February 2-12 if there is available space. If you do not hear from us during this timeline, there is a possibility that we will still be able to accept your student starting August 7. We will reach out if there are any spaces available.

Please understand that we cannot accept all students that apply for a transfer. We must ensure that we have the available space for our students within our boundaries first.

We are so grateful for you wishing to participate in our Mandarin DLI Program! If you are wanting to participate, please see the details below:

1. To apply, you must have applied with our DLI Open Enrollment Lottery Application. If you did not, you will be placed on a waitlist. If you did not apply through the Open Enrollment, you may enroll by going to our website and clicking on the link for our waitlist there.
2. We are currently only accepting grades Kinder and 1 grade. If you are in 2-4 grade, we will reach out to schedule a time to test with your student.
3. We will be reaching out to those who have been approved to join our DLI Mandarin Program. You will be receiving an email from us in February with the details of the next steps. 
4. Those who are on the waitlist will also receive an email informing them of their placement on the waitlist.
